iSnaps
The beauty of the iPhone is that it is simple to take and upload photos. Here are some photos from the last two months that I just downloaded off our phones. The iPhone takes decent photos in outdoor light, not as decent indoors, but what I love is how these photos we take of our girls keep a running record of unposed and in-the-moment snapshots of our daily lives.

Lesson learned: Don't touch the baby's rusk.
Maeve is at that stage where everything goes in her mouth. Yesterday we thought we'd let Maeve color a bit, so we put her in front of a piece of paper and handed her a crayon.
Since Maeve has been doing so well with eating her peas and carrots lately, we thought we'd let her put something in her mouth that is actually food. Shawn picked up some rice rusks at Target the other day, so we broke open a package and handed it over:
She was eating it at such a rapid rate that I reached over to take it away. She yelled at me like a rabid baby raccoon, then shoved the whole thing in her mouth.

Her day at daycare
There is a whiteboard on the door to Maeve's classroom at daycare, and every day when I pick her up, there is a message written by her teachers about how Maeve's day went. It makes me feel good to know how she is spending her day.

Milestones
Maeve made her first trip with her mom and grandma to the Pacific coast. She was reported to be a hardy traveler, happy to charm the flight crew and fellow travelers alike.
Here she is, California dreamin':
Many people have been asking how Maeve compares to Reilly at the same age. I didn't start Rei's blog until she was 8 months, so I can't compare yet, but I can say that Maeve seems to be on a very similar growth chart. Here are her six month stats:
Height: 25.25 inches - 24th percentile
Weight: 15lbs, 7oz - 32nd percentile
Head: 16.75 inches - 47th percentile
She's short, skinny, and top heavy, just like her sister.
